Go Cornish is built around three aims: awareness, enjoyment and engagement.
At each award level (Bronze, Silver and Gold), these three aims are sub-divided into three activities, helping you to have a whole school approach and making your progress assessment quick and simple.
We make a point of saying that everything you need to achieve Bronze has been created for you. There is no research needed, or teaching resources to create, we’ve done the hard work.
When in the portal, you will find a more detailed version on the Bronze criteria, this will become your ‘go to’ document. That’s because every single criterion you need to achieve has a hyperlink that takes you directly to the resource you need to achieve it.
The programme has been designed by teachers, and provides you with easy to follow, professionally designed lesson plans, teacher’s notes and that all important audio wherever there is a word in Kernewek / Cornish.
But it’s not all Cornish language resources! There are lots of other resources, from games such as Go Fish and Chough Drive, songs and rhymes to cross curricular topics, such as ‘Cornish Mining’ and ‘Cornish Hedges’ where children casually encounter key words in Cornish.
